K-9 Program

The Washington Township Police Department K-9 Program was implemented in 2006 to assist the community and officers alike.  K-9 patrol has been utilized for thousands of years in the law enforcement and military communities and has proven time and time again to be an extremely effective tool for assisting in numerous types of investigations.

The K-9 program is completely funded through greatly appreciated donations from Washington Township Businesses and residents.  The donations from the community has enabled Chief Muniz to avoid submitting K-9 expenses into the budget ultimately saving the taxpayers money.
